    This is a really cool article on how to remove residual flux from the surface of as-grown crystals. We do a lot of methods in our lab (acid and base etching, mechanical separation, density separation) but there are some really cool ideas brought up in this one that I wasn’t familiar with. I encourage anyone that is interested in metal flux synthesis to read this one.

    The ‘soaking up’ method is really interesting, although, likely not useful for our lab. I would be interesting in talking about a few of these (specifically in section 3, the isopropanol method is intriguing) in the meeting.
